Using Station Speed Dial
You can use Station Speed Dial to store phone numbers for your personal use. And then program blank buttons to dial your programmed Station Speed Dial Numbers.
Storing Station Speed-Dial Numbers
You can store up to 10 Station Speed-Dial numbers.
To store a Station Speed-Dial number:
1. With the handset on-hook, dial 383. PROGRAM STN SPD (0-9) OR SCROLL appears.
2. Enter the speed-dial bin (0 to 9) OR Press (Up) or (Down) to scroll through the speed-dial bins
Press # or the ACCEPT menu button (5340 IP Phones only) to select the bin.
3. Enter the name using the letters on your dial pad (up to 10 characters)
Press # or the ACCEPT menu button (5340 IP Phones only) to save the name.
4. Dial 8 + the external number.
Press # or the ACCEPT menu button (5340 IP Phones only) to save the bin. STN SPD BIN # <number> UPDATED appears.
NOTE: Use the (Transfer) to move the cursor right/forward and use the (Hold) to move the cursor left/backspace while entering data.
Assigning Speed-Dial Numbers to Programmable Buttons
You can assign Station Speed Dial numbers to your programmable buttons. Or you can assign a Station Speed Dial key to access all 10 numbers stored.
To program an individual Station Speed-Dial button:
1. With the handset on-hook, dial 397. PRESS THE BUTTON TO PROGRAM appears.
2. Press the blank button that you want to program as a speed-dial button.
3. Dial 382 and enter the speed-dial bin (0 to 9) you programmed above.
Press # or the ACCEPT menu button (5340 IP Phones only) to select the bin.
To program a Station Speed-Dial button:
1. With the handset on-hook, dial 397. PRESS THE BUTTON TO PROGRAM appears.
2. Press the blank button that you want to program as a speed-dial button.
3. Dial 382 and Press # or the ACCEPT menu button (5340 IP Phones only) to select the bin.
